Our charges are fixed. What you see is what you pay. Prices are subjected to revision if there is change in the location or final item list. Rates can also change basis the complexity of shifting.

Q. Do packers and movers dismantle and assemble furnitures? +

Yes, we do complete dismantling & assembly of furnitures wherever possible. Most furnitures do not need dismantelling but large beds and dinning tables may be dismantelled to move safely.

Q. Is there any restriction on material taken by packers and movers? +

We don't allow flammable goods like Gasoline, Oxygen bottles, Lighter fluid, Matches, Propane cylinders, Nail polish remover, Paints and Fireworks

Q. Does My Shifting provide only labour or helper along with transport for house shifting?+

Yes, if you have already packed your goods and need help in loading & unloading, you can book Ace helper or 3-wheeler helper from our App. The Driver partner will help you in ground to ground floor movement of goods.

Q. Do packers and movers pack everything? +

Packers and movers will pack everything safely including fragile and valuable items. Our packers will use bubble wraps, wrapping paper, cardboard boxes, wrapping foam, packing tapes, thermocol sheet so goods will be safely transported but they won't take flammable goods.

Q. How much do packers and movers charge? +

Professional packers and movers rates and charges list ranges from Rs 3,000 to Rs 35,000 for local relocation and Rs 6,000 to Rs 60,000 for intercity shifting. The charges of relocation companies depend on several cost-affecting factors such as the distance, size of the move, number of goods, number of laborers, services taken, etc.

Q. When is the best time to move?+

The best time to plan your shifting is the weekdays (Monday-Thursday) and the middle of the month (6th to 25th of every month) as it would be easier for you to find a good movers and packers for your shifting at economical prices. Avoid scheduling your shifting on the weekends (Friday to Sunday) and the month-ends (25th of a month to 5th of the next month) as more people relocate during this time hiking the charges of moving companies due to high demand.

A pre-move survey is a free service of moving companies provided to analyze the moving requirements of the people and to prepare an inventory list of items required to be moved. This survey helps in the estimation of accurate moving charges.

Q. How much is the cost of moving insurance by packers and movers?+

Moving insurance is a service of packers and movers that provides full protection on residential or office goods against unforeseen circumstances during the move. The cost of moving or transit insurance by relocation service providers is approx. 3% charges with taxes.

Q. What are GST rates for packers and movers in India? +

The rate of GST that is applied to My Shifting services is 5%; If you are only availing the transportation services, but when a person avails of all the company’s relocation services (packing, loading, unloading, unpacking), then the rate is 18%.

Although there is less possibility of your belongings getting damaged in transit, it is better to take insurance coverage on your belongings on the safer side. If you are planning a long-distance move, we would suggest going to this service.
